Travelport extends deal with Russian consolidator

Leading Russian consolidator Aviacenter has extended a contract with Travelport until at least 2015.

Leading Russian consolidator Aviacenter has extended a contract with Travelport until at least 2015.

The company will use both Galileo Web Services and Travelport SmartPoint App to deliver services to travel agents and consumers in Russia.

Moscow-based Aviacenter was founded in 2005 and has more than 280 sub-agency locations across 53 Russian regions. It has been working with Travelport since 2009.

General manager Sergey Bogachev said: “We are very happy to be renewing our contract with Travelport as they have been excellent to work with over the past three years.

“Travelport is able to bring us comprehensive content, leading technology and a fundamental understanding of what we need to succeed.”

The travel technology company’s Russia country manager Maria Yakushkina added: “Our partnership with Aviacenter has been hugely productive and very rewarding for our team. We look forward to being an integral part of Aviacenter’s continued success in the future.”
