Travelport achieves level four NDC certification from Iata

Firm able to provide full offer and order management

Leading travel technology company Travelport claims it has achieved level four NDC certification as an aggregator from Iata.

The Berkshire-based firm claims this confirms it is able to provide full offer and order management and servicing of a new distribution capability (NDC) booking, adding to its current abilities of voiding tickets and cancellations, refunding customers and modifying and exchanging tickets.

Travelport has reportedly been offering NDC content from a small number of partner airlines since October 2018 and slowly continues to build trying to make sure its solution will work for all parts of the travel industry.

Jason Clarke, chief commercial officer of Travel Partners, said: “Delivering NDC content to our customers is a crucial part of Travelport’s multi-source content strategy and this certification is the next step in recognising our NDC capability.”

“Managing complex itineraries for their travellers, including changes and disruptions, is a core part of the role of our travel agency customers so this functionality is important in bringing NDC to life for the whole industry.”
