‘Reset, Reboot, Restart’ theme reflects strategic, technological and logistical challenges facing sector

The Travolution European Summit heard from some of the continent’s and the world’s leading travel brands about the Reset, Reboot and Restart of a travel industry that has been among the hardest hit of all business sectors by the coronavirus pandemic.

Held online over two mornings on Thursday and Friday, the online event attracted over 800 registrations and featured senior keynotes and speakers from the likes of European travel giant Tui, global leader Expedia, UK holiday specialist On The Beach, European leisure travel group Lastminute and Dublin-based specialist Hostelworld.

Sessions addressed the impact of COVID-19 on businesses in the travel sector with a particular focus on technology and processes and how they have adapted to survive the crisis and prepare for the rebound once travel gets the green light again.
