Much Better Adventures swoops for former Airbnb Adventures manager

Tanya Rinaldi will be based in California and spearhead US growth for London-based firm

Travel experiences specialist Much Better Adventures has appointed a former Airbnb market manager to spearhead growth in the US.

Tanya Rinaldi managed the launch and growth of Airbnb Adventures, the multi-day experiences product range launched by the peer-to-peer accommodation rentals platform.

Much Better Adventures said the “widely publicised downsizing” Airbnb undertook in May meant it was able to take advantage of Rinaldi’s “unexpected availability”.

She said: “MBA is one of those companies that comes along once in a blue moon where you say ‘they are really special and I want to be a part of that’.

“Their ambition is inspiring so I feel extremely lucky to have joined the MBA team”.

Much Better Adventures co-founder Sam Bruce added: “We’re building the market leading brand in adventure travel and hiring exceptional talent like Tanya is crucial.

“Tanya brings with her a wealth of experience, particularly in the US market, so we are all delighted to have her on board.

“Our sales have held up relatively well this year despite everything – much better than we expected.

“We know there’s massive global pent up demand for adventure travel in 2021/22 and beyond which Tanya has come in to help us serve”.

Much Better Adventures currently offers more than 130 adventures in 47 countries with 5% of revenues from all bookings going into funding conservation and supporting remote families who have been affected by COVID-19.
