Start-up airline EGO Airways partners with IBS Software for res and distribution

Italian start-up airline EGO Airways has partnered with IBS Software to manage its reservations and distribution operations.

The partnership has been agreed as consumer demand for flights grows, IBS said.

EGO Airways is described as a modern hybrid airline. It began operations earlier this year deploying IBS Software’s cloud-based iFly Res Passenger Services System (PSS).

Developed remotely during the pandemic, this has given it modern ecommerce capabilities along with traditional requirements such as integration with long-haul partners.

IBS said by developing its own direct channel distribution, complemented by GDS based distribution as well as enabling integration with partners, EGO Airways will be able to promote and differentiate their products to customers across multiple channels.

iFly Res claims to be the first natively compliant Iata New Distribution Capability (NDC) PSS product in the industry.
