Qatar Airways renews Amadeus partnership with enhanced NDC roadmap
Gulf Carrier Qatar Airways is to extend a partnership with Amadeus adding enhanced retailing capabilities through New Distribution Capability solutions.
The partners have letter of agreement ahead of finalising the deal to make Amadeus the airline’s distribution and IT partner.
Amadeus said this deal will make Qatar Airways’ product, including content via NDC, available globally to travel agencies and corporations via the Amadeus Travel Platform.
“As a result the airline will improve its retailing capabilities, further deliver on its omni-channel distribution strategy and power its global reach in this next phase of travel,” the GDS and technology giant said.
The airline aims to bring the Amadeus Altéa NDC on board from 2022 onward.
Amadeus said this will further enhance its retailing capabilities across channels through the distribution of dynamic NDC-enabled content and fares.
