Qantas rolls out digital boarding passes at Heathrow
Qantas has made its digital boarding passes and mobile check-in services available at Heathrow.
Designed to make travel through airports more seamless, the technology allows customers travelling internationally to finalise check-in and passport checks online and head straight to the lounge or boarding gate after passing through immigration and security.
Previously, customers who checked in via digital channels were required to print their boarding pass at home or the airport.
Qantas first introduced digital boarding passes on domestic services, then flights between Australia and New Zealand in May 2017, before rolling-out the option across our its network.
Customers without baggage who have a digital boarding pass can head straight to the boarding gate after passing through immigration and security while those with baggage who have checked in online can use online check-in bag drop.
The digital boarding passes will be available on flights between the USA and a small number of remaining airports later this year.
