Latest airline deal struck after success of partnership with German carrier Lufthansa
Emirates partners with DRCT to offer agents NDC offers with no GDS fee
Next-gen distribution tech developer DRCT has signed an agreement to work with Emirates Airline to boost its New Distribution Capability (NDC) sales.
Travel sellers will now be able to avoid GDS bookings fees of between $14 and $25 by booking NDC fares through DRCT Extension, DRCT Search and DRCT API.
Dmitry Ianishevskyi, co-founder and director of DRCT, said: “Emirates is an ideal partner for us as an iconic and forward-thinking airline that continuously innovates to customise offers and pricing for their passengers.
“As passionate drivers of change in aviation, we are proud to be building this relationship and broadening our presence in the Middle East.
“We are excited to offer our travel partners the ability to sell Emirates flights and ancillaries.”
The partnership will grant agents that use DRCT access to Emirates’ NDC fares, along with differentiated pricing for ancillary services and the ability to sell excess baggage.
DRCT sealed its partnership with Emirates following its success working with Lufthansa which saw 68% of NDC sales shift from the GDS to its channel.
DRCT is a travel technology provider and Iata-certified New Distribution Capability (NDC) aggregator.
