Emirates agrees partnerships with Expedia, Tap Payments and Huawei
Emirates has renewed its partnership with Expedia Group and signed agreements with tech providers Huawei and Tap Payments.
The airline says the partnerships, signed at Arabian Travel Market, align closely with its objectives of ‘continuously engaging with diverse consumer segments and audiences to provide exclusive benefits and value across a spectrum of travel touchpoints’.
Emirates and Expedia Group have ‘strengthened’ their decade-long partnership with a plan for the OTA to promote some of the airline’s select strategic destinations on its platform.
More joint marketing campaigns are planned, and data insights will be shared to optimise user experiences and drive engagement for Emirates on Expedia Group sites.
Emirates is to expand its Business Rewards partnerships by joining forces with fintech company Tap Payments, which facilitates online payments.
A memorandum of understanding will see Emirates and Tap Payments aim to reach, engage with and attract Tap's extensive small and medium-sized enterprise customer base and enrol them in the Emirates Business Rewards Program.
Emirates will offer Tap Payments Rewards members the option of a transfer of points from the Tap Payments Rewards programme, whereby they accumulate points on every transaction, to Emirates Business Rewards.
Emirates has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese tech-giant Huawei which will see the brands collaborate on marketing and PR initiatives across the Middle East, Africa and China.
Emirates services will be promoted through tailored sales campaigns in China to drive user engagement and the firms will work to develop the Emirates app within Huawei's GalleryApp, an extension of a partnership launched in 2020.
A separate memorandum of understanding between Emirates and Huawei was signed at Arabian Travel Market to establish mutual activities that increase user reach and brand awareness.
