March 1 sate set for the annual holiday rentals trade show which has been renamed Stayjam
Short Stay Show announces 2021 cancellation and reveals rebrand for 2022
The annual Short Stay Show for the holiday rentals industry has been cancelled for 2021 due to the ongoing COVDI-19 pandemic.
The show was the last travel event to be held at the Excel centre in East London (the home of WTM) last February before the first UK nationwide lockdown.
Organisers have announced the decision along with a date for 2022 (March 1) and a rebrand, the show now being called Stayjam.
In the announcement the show said: “With the event world on pause we wanted to give you an update on the Short Stay Show and our plans for 2021.
“Although there are positive signs that events will be able to restart in the coming months, the current restrictions will compound the challenges faced in organising an event for a number of months thereafter.
“We wanted to make the right decision for the partners in the marketplace and the visitors to the show and decided not to run the show in 2021.”
Organisers added: “We are disappointed not to be able to bring everyone together as soon as we had hoped this year but we are already working on plans to bring you some great opportunities to start, grow and succeed as a short stay business throughout 2021.”
