It is now an end-to-end hotel booking site again
Iconic brand LateRooms returns to market after 5 years
Parent company of the largest collection of accommodation sites in the UK Snaptrip Group has announced the relaunch of its brand LateRooms.
Founded in 1999, LateRooms quickly became a powerhouse in the hotel booking market, boasting over 90 million site visits annually and exceeding £300 million in bookings by 2015.
It announced it would cease trading in August 2019 and Snaptrip Group swiftly acquired the brand.
Its 2024 revival marks Snaptrip Group’s "dedication to restoring LateRooms' former glory" as it becomes an end-to-end hotel booking site for the first time in almost five years.
The team behind the brand have unveiled a new and improved site for a "seamless experience, providing a unique position in the industry that is ready to jolt the UK market".
It now offers travellers the largest range of properties in the UK, with over 100,000, members-only discounts of up to 15%, a "best price" guarantee and a free cancellation and pay later payment flexibility.
Matt Fox, CEO of Snaptrip Group, said: "It's fantastic to witness the relaunch of LateRooms, and very thrilling to have this once celebrated hotel booking site back live where it belongs, with masses of inventory and discounts. It's an exciting development that speaks volumes about the resilience and adaptability of Snaptrip Group.
"LateRooms was one of the country's biggest and most popular hotel booking sites in the early part of the 21st century, but as with many unfortunate businesses over the last five years, found itself in insolvency. Snaptrip Group has a mission to restore it to its former glory!"
The rebuild of LateRooms aligns with the firm's mission to broaden its customer base of both holidaymakers and property partners, making booking trips "easy and affordable for all".
Its relaunch is said to signal a new era for hotel bookings in the UK.
