Camino Network's CAM Token lists on two major crypto exchanges

Exchange listings follow Swiss seed and pre-sale rounds

The Camino Token (CAM), the native cryptocurrency of the Camino Network, are now listed by Gate and MEXC, two major crypto exchanges, as of January 17.

This development is a big step forward for the integration of blockchain technology within the travel industry.

The Camino Network, developed by Chain4Travel and actively run by 100 validators from the travel industry, is a Layer 1 blockchain specifically designed to enhance the global travel ecosystem, the future-proof operating system of global travel.

The CAM token serves multiple functions within this ecosystem, including as a means of payment for transaction fees, enabling validator rewards, and granting access to exclusive travel perks.

The listings on Gate.io and MEXC increase accessibility of CAM. For the travel industry, any future trading of CAM tokens on major exchanges signifies a step toward broader adoption of blockchain solutions

It underscores the industry's commitment to embracing innovative technologies that streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer experiences. This development also enhances the travel token's visibility within the broader cryptocurrency market, attracting new participants to the Camino Network.

Thomas Stirnimann, council president of the Camino Network Foundation, said: "The listing of the CAM token paves the way for broader adoption of decentralised solutions in travel.

"Now, it’s up to the global industry players to actively build on this new operating system for travel and benefit from this transformative journey."

The Camino Network Foundation continues to focus on expanding the utility and adoption of the Camino Network within the travel industry.

Future initiatives include partnerships with travel service providers, supporting the development of decentralized applications (dApps) tailored for travel, and ongoing enhancements to the network's infrastructure.

The majority of transactions within the Camino Network are expected to originate from the Camino Messenger, which is a distribution and sourcing platform that enables to search and book travel products in a global self-autonomous network of suppliers and distributors with integrated payment processes, all through a single connection.

Travel giant Lufthansa Group has already develop blockchain solutions based on Camino Network.

The platform has the potential to replace thousands of APIs with a unified request-response model, creating an interconnected travel industry and seamless travel experiences.

The exchange listings follow on from Swiss seed and pre-sale rounds that raised a total of over $10M to build out Camino Network’s infrastructure.

The people behind Camino believe the "stage is set" for the next phase of its international growth, powered by the CAM token.
