HotelPlanner acquires event registration platform Eventsquid
Hotel booking engine and technology platform HotelPlanner had announced the acquisition of event registration platform Eventsquid.
The platform and its staff, who will continue to operate as an independent company, has a range of clients including the US Department of Defense, Olathe Health System, Montana Department of Transportation and Kansas State University.
Founded in 2015, Eventsquid specialises in streamlining and automating all manner of event dealings including “complex” event registrations for planners and attendees, website and mobile app creation, virtual events, exhibitor sales and attendee communication among others.
Michael Kranitz, the founder of Eventsquid will become the executive vice president. He said: "We are excited to have a heavyweight like HotelPlanner behind our platform. We’re honored to join the HotelPlanner family of brands.

Former chief operating officer Joe Conti will take on the role of vice president of operations of Eventsquid.
