SilverRail extends multi-year partnership with Virgin Trains Ticketing
Rail commerce platform that helps travel retailers to sell rail has extended its partnership with Virgin Trains Ticketing.
SilverRail provides Virgin Trains Ticketing with a cost-effective rail booking, ticketing and after-sales platform.
Its API and agent tool are designed to significantly reduce the complexity, operational cost and technical effort in offering global rail content.
David Pitt, head of UK Rail of SilverRail, said: “Virgin is famous for its market-leading customer service and innovation and we have certainly seen this develop through our partnership over the last 3 years with their incredible offer to customers using Virgin Points and their ability to keep rail fares low using our split ticketing innovations.
"We are therefore delighted that Virgin Trains Ticketing has again placed its trust in SilverRail with a renewed contract that will see the two companies working closely for years to come.
"We look forward to seeing them continue to grow and challenge the market with their compelling customer offer."
Mark Plowright, Virgin Trains Ticketing Director, said: “SilverRail has been a key partner since we launched Virgin Trains Ticketing in 2021.
"Together, we've helped passengers save more than £1.4million on their train travel through split ticketing and the ability to spend Virgin Points on tickets, all of which help make rail travel more rewarding."
He added: "We're looking forward to continuing to collaborate with the team, driving value for customers through digital innovation and incentivising people to travel by train."
