TTI names Jon Pickles to lead organisation

He takes over from Tim Wright

Travel Technology Initiative has announced Jon Pickles has been elected to be its new chairman.

Pickles has taken on from departing chairman Tim Wright as of January 1.

He joins with a raft of experience from within the travel technology sector, having held a variety of c-suite level roles across global travel companies and leading travel technology providers.

With his expertise and industry knowledge, he is well placed to steer TTI’s well known initiative portfolio of TTIcodes, TTIplaces and TTIrooms.

He will also be responsible for increasing revenue streams and its membership numbers.

Previously Pickles was a long-standing advocate for TTI and its role in the technology community, the uses of AI and has frequently spoken at TTI conferences.

Alongside this, he has also been a member of the TTI advisory board for the past 2 years.

His key mission is to continue showcasing the "most relevant, innovative travel technologies and new applications to TTI audiences, while identifying game changers, and employing a forward-thinking approach to the organisation".

The organisation are said to be excited for the future with Pickles at the helm.

Pickles will be play an active role at TTI’s upcoming Spring Conference on March 19 at the Holiday Inn London - Regents Park, London.
