Travix appoints Mira van Houwelingen as CMO
Amsterdam headquartered OTA Travix has announced the appointment of Mira van Houwelingen as chief marketing officer.
In her new role, Van Houwelingen will lead Travix's global marketing initiatives.
She joins from grocery delivery company Getir, where she was head of marketing Netherlands and played a "pivotal role" in launching and building the brand in the Dutch market.
Previously, she held key positions such as head of marketing & digital at Moët Hennessy and various marketing roles at Rituals and Unilever.
She said: “I’ve been lucky to have had a lot of incredibly valuable experience working with leading brands, and I look forward to the new challenges this role will bring.
"Working with a strong direct brand and a very knowledgeable team, I feel confident we’ll be able to tackle any challenge that will come our way."
She added: "I can’t wait to strengthen the Travix brands and I’m excited to accelerate the company’s marketing strategy, both in the Benelux region and globally.”

Recently, Travix refreshed its direct brand proposition, CheapTickets, emphasising reliability, ease of use, and customer excellence, with the introduction of a new bird mascot, Tjiep, to the Benelux market.
