Staysure Group appoints Finn Walsh as new group CEO

Move comes as business looks to fully leverage its position with new digitisation strategy

Travel insurance provider firm Staysure Group has revealed Finn Walsh has been promoted to group CEO.

Walsh, was previously the chief customer and technology officer, having joined the business in October 2022, from Hastings Direct where he was digital and marketing director. 

With fifteen years’ experience in digital and e-commerce, Walsh brings a wide range of expertise from different industries in digital facing roles including The AA, Lloyds Banking Group and Tesco.

Staysure is now poised to move into a new era of automation and digitisation as it is investing in its Insurtech offerings, which Walsh will be a key cornerstone in this transition. 

Staysure said: "His proven track record of creating award winning customer journeys and transforming legacy financial services brands into modern technology powerhouses is an important part of Staysure Group’s priorities to meet ambitious growth targets."

Staysure has won Best Travel Insurance Provider at the British Travel Awards for the seventh consecutive year.

As the business continues in its transitional phase, Walsh will be "essential" in overseeing the proposed changes to strategy and planning, while continuing to "ensure" excellent customer outcomes across the Group’s brands.

Walsh said: “I’m thrilled to be leading Staysure into this new era of transformation. To truly create the Insurtech brand of the future, our focus needs to go beyond just customer experience and move to improving the total experience of the company."
