She moves across from payment orchestration solution provider BR-DGE
Emily Whalley joins WEX as EMEA Sales Manager for International Corporate Payments
Global commerce platform WEX has welcomed Emily Whalley as EMEA sales manager for international corporate payments back in January this year.
Whalley joins from payment orchestration provider BR-DGE. She brings with her nearly two decades of experience in the travel technology industry with her.
She will report to Steve Hawkins, regional commercial director EMEA of WEX, whose team is leading the company’s regional growth efforts in its corporate payments business.
WEX’s virtual travel payment solutions aim to help online travel agents (OTAs), travel agents, and travel companies save money on international payments, reduce accounting workload, and improve supplier relationships.

“As an experienced sales leader within the travel industry, Emily is no stranger to navigating complex markets, having successfully implemented a number of game-changing projects over the past 18 months.
"Her strategic vision aligns seamlessly with WEX’s commitment to revolutionise the way travel payments are handled, bringing efficiency and innovation to the forefront of the industry.”
Prior to WEX, Whalley served as a sales and account manager at a number of companies in the industry including Travelport, Amadeus and Continental Airlines.

Anna Nowak and Joanne Ruffley have also been named as relationship managers, EMEA, international corporate payments at WEX.
Nowak joins the team with 15 years of corporate travel and relationship management experience with brands including American Express, BCD Travel, and Corporate Travel Management.
While Ruffley joins from Suresite Group and has over two-decades within the travel and payment sectors, with experience as relationship management at Conferma Pay, Bien Venue Ltd and Agiito.
