She succeeds Maarten van der Lei

Airline merchandising and pricing data specialist, ATPCO, has appointed Karen Slinger as the new chair of its Board of Directors.

Slinger, who currently serves as director of global revenue at the UK's national carrier, British Airways, brings over 25 years of aviation experience to the role.

In her current role, she oversees implementing a new revenue management system, advancing price optimisation strategies, and investing in modern airline retailing solutions, but has previously held senior positions across finance, commercial, and cabin crew management.

Slinger succeeds Maarten van der Lei, SVP pricing and revenue management, who has moved to a new role at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Since the firm appointed Alex Zoghlin to its board as president and CEO in January 2021, it's been on a journey of transformation.

This year, the company celebrates its 60th anniversary, its Product Catalog solution is making "significant" progress toward enabling 80% of airline offers being dynamically created by the end of 2026.

"ATPCO plays a crucial role in driving innovation and efficiency in airline pricing and retailing, ensuring the industry evolves. I am honored to take on the role of Chair of the Board at ATPCO during this transformative period in the aviation industry," said Slinger.

"I look forward to collaborating with the Board and the ATPCO team to support the evolving needs of airlines and travelers worldwide."

Zoghlin said: "Karen's extensive experience and visionary leadership in revenue management make her an excellent choice to lead our Board. Her insights will be invaluable as we continue to develop solutions that enhance airline retailing and distribution."
