Inspire My Holiday launches free ‘Find an Agent’ to support industry

New portal is expected to reach more than one million consumers in 2025

Finding a travel agent just got easier with the launch of a new portal by Inspire My Holiday called ‘Find an Agent’.

The offering enables consumers to find local travel agents in their next holiday destination.

Customers can filter agents by holiday type, class of holiday, agent location and destinations in which they specialise. A biography of the agent can be viewed alongside their relevant contact details.

The tool is like a traditional store locator but at an individual agent level - rather than in a physical store.

Set to reach more than one million consumers for 2025, the service will be completely free for consumers and agents - with nothing to pay for the registration, nor for any enquiries or bookings made.

With the continued growth of the homeworking sector and a crowded marketplace for retail travel agents, Inspire My Holiday’s founder Olly Lomas believes this is the perfect way for individuals to gain exposure and it fills a gap in the market.

The recent Find my Agent soft launch saw several hundred agents register from groups such as Flight Centre, Travel Counsellors, Advantage, PTS, Hays Travel and The Travel Network Group with registrations now open to all agents who sell travel to the UK consumer.

On the launch of Find an Agent, Lomas said: “It’s clear that opportunities for individual agents are extremely limited and we wanted to change this. The feedback and support from business owners has been incredible and we’re excited to launch Find an Agent on Boxing Day, just in time for the peak sale period.”

“We’re very proud of our unique search tool that offers consumers a quick way of finding a relevant destination specialist to book their next trip - whether they are an independent agent or part of a large travel brand.

“It takes under 10 minutes to register and doesn’t cost a penny, so it should be a no-brainer for anyone working in sales,” he added.
