Glaswegian entrepreneur launches Travel Scotland web portal to boost tourism sector
A new web platform has been launched aiming to make Scotland the go-to destination for travellers while supporting local tourism businesses.
Travel Scotland has been founded by Glaswegian entrepreneur Zreen Mansha and was built during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It brings together information on the destination to provide users with information, a booking engine and customer reviews.
The new venture is inviting travel and hospitality businesses to partner with it by selling and promoting services on the website and associated social media channels.
Mansha said: “My team and I are very proud to launch this platform to promote Scotland in the way it should be.
“It’s wonderful to see people travelling again and we are delighted to be able to support associated businesses get back on the road too.”
The platform provides a place for accommodation and transport providers, visitor attractions and tour guides, to list or advertise their services on the site.
They are offered support from an experienced team of technical and marketing experts to help them manage their listings and bookings. Event listings will also be available soon.
Businesses are categorised into service type, region, and price, and will have access to advanced features such as accessibility, eco-friendliness and specific keyword searches.
Travel Scotland says it is particularly interested in hearing from businesses that provide responsible and sustainable tourism.
A special introductory half-price offer of £60 for a 12-month listing in 2022is currently being offered.
