It hopes to double revenue in 2025
DidaTravel shares record sales from UK outbound market
Tech-driven travel distribution company, DidaTravel has announced record sales for 2024 from the UK outbound market, more than doubling the volume of business versus the same period in 2023.
A leader in China and Asia Pacific source markets and destinations, with a particular focus on European markets, the company averaged 100% growth across the main markets in 2024.
This growth highlights Europe's increasing significance in the companies’ business which now represents close to a quarter of its total revenue.
The UK outbound market in particular has been a key strategic focus for the global travel tech business, where the team has worked to ensure that Dida’s global hotel portfolio, featuring more than 75,000 directly contracted properties, are available on the majority of the travel tech platforms popular in the UK.
2024 saw the top five destinations booked through Dida’s platform by British travellers were Dubai, New York, Phuket, Paris and Tokyo.
After a strong start to 2025, the company has a "clear" strategy to maintain the current growth trajectory in the UK market with a target to increase sales by 100% again this year.
Paul Riches, UK sales director at DidaTravel, said: “We’ve invested significantly more resources in technology, product and customer care to support the UK trade, particularly over the last 18 months, and we are now reaping the benefits.
“Our highly competitive hotel portfolio, featuring over 1 million properties globally with more than 75,000 direct contracts, are now available on the main travel tech platforms, as well as via our leading API, so most UK agents can fully benefit from Dida’s reach, which was not necessarily the case even 12 months ago," he said.
"This is contributing significantly to our strong results in the UK market.”
