Ai-tineraries and musical pilgrimages are among top

Travel experts at Accor have conducted in-depth research to reveal the biggest trends for 2025 and the 20 top trending destinations.

The report draws from an extensive analysis, using two years of UK search data for over 200 popular destinations, combined with survey insights and keyword search volumes to predict the growth of these travel trends.

It found that one in seven Brits plan to use an AI-driven 'AI-tinerary' in 2025, with searches for 'AI in the travel industry' up 100% over the past year. AI-powered trip planners offer seamless, hyper-personalised itineraries, adapting in real-time for smoother travel experiences.

Results indicated that 58% of Brits now seek lesser-known destinations over tourist hubs. Searches for "hidden gem holidays" jumped 150%, highlighting a shift towards authentic travel.

Solo travel continues to grow, with 24% of Brits planning trips alone in 2025. Searches for “solo travel deals” and “best solo destinations” are up 30%, reflecting the allure of independent travel.

Food-focused travel was found to be booming, with 32% of Brits interested and searches for “cooking tourism” up 250%. Foodies are travelling to explore cuisines and culinary traditions.

Concert-driven travel is booming, too, as 32% of Brits plan trips around music events, with major icons Oasis, Coldplay and Dua Lipa set to tour for 2025. Fans combine travel with the thrill of live performances.

It also included a list of the top 20 trending destinations for 2025. To find out which destinations are going to be hotspots for the year head, experts at Accor analysed 2 years' worth of search data from over 200 popular holiday destinations.
