Building on a five-year relationship, AOL this week said TUI UK will remain the site’s holiday partner for the next two years.

Under the terms of the agreement, the travel channel will be upgraded with a variety of new functions, tools and holiday segments, with Thomson.co.uk booking engines placed on various locations throughout the travel channel.

Among the most significant enhancements is the integration of Thomson.co.uk destination and resort video content onto the travel channel, which is intended to complement the site’s warehouse of traveller reviews.

Intuitive tools such as the “Where’s Hot” tool will allow sun seekers to quickly identify a sun destination that is within their budget and flight time requirements.

Similarly, the “Inspiration Page” is intended to motivate users to try somewhere different with holiday suggestions that are out of the ordinary and off the beaten track.

Also new is a ‘Beach Features’ page, which provides consumers with key information they need when making a travel decision.

Commenting on the deal, Angela Kohli, Travel & Lifestyle Manager at AOL UK says, “I look forward to working closely with TUI in providing AOL users with online travel services that fit their needs, whilst continuing to grow the channel.”
