Steak Media appointed to grow Time Out travel channel

Digital marketing agency Steak Media is to run a search engine optimisation programme for UK listings and entertainment guide Time Out, with a special focus to its travel portal.

Steak Media won the account following a two-way pitch for the travel, London and film sections on the site.

Steak media chief executive Oliver Bishop said: “Our approach will be not only to focus on the obvious, high volume generic keywords, but also to build up a solid base of traffic from long tail keywords to provide a good breadth of traffic to the site to meet Time Out’s corporate objectives.

“We believe this approach is vital for sustainable, successful SEO campaigns, alongside working with our clients as their partners, transferring knowledge so that everybody involved is focused on the success of the campaigns.”

Time Out joined forces with Global Travel Market in January this year to provide travel search functionality on the portal.
