Hotels.com will unveil its first ever TV and radio advertising campaign for the UK this week in support of its recent rebranding programme.

The £3.5 million TV campaign will run on TV outlets such as Channel 4, Five, Sky and ITV, followed by key radio markets including Virgin, Smooth, Heart, XFM and TalkSport.

The marketing spurt will last until September and feature Hotels.com’s annual summer sale.

Hotels.com recently undertook the first phase of a wider rebranding of the website, kicking off in the UK and a number of other key European territories.

European marketing director Patrik Oqvist said: “Our first venture into offline TV advertising is intended primarily to raise our profile in our most important European market and add character to the brand.

“The creative is deliberately unlike that of traditional travel advertising and is designed to create stand-out against the competition. It not only ties in with the new visual identity of the site but is specifically tailored to appeal to our high priority UK customers.”
