A woman has made almost 8,000 contributions to TripAdvisor this year, putting her top of the UK rankings.

The majority of contributions by self-employed financial compliance adviser Lesley Cawthorne, 42, were forum posts made while planning a family trip to Disneyland Paris.

She also commented on 28 cities across eight countries, including Seoul, Venice, and her home town of Norwich, according to The Times.

Cawthorne posted messages about everything from travel upgrades to the Café Mickey menu at the theme park.

Edinburgh’s “unclegus” contributed the most reviews, with 607 posted this year, while the most prolific photo contributor was Steve Jackson, of Gateshead, with 1,587 uploaded.

London was once again the world’s most reviewed city, with 565,743 reports about its hotels, restaurants and attractions, up from 459,406 last year.

A TripAdvisor spokeswoman told the newspaper: “We thank our most active members, as well as each of our contributors.

“Their candid feedback is the lifeblood of TripAdvisor and helps others find the information and advice they need before they travel or visit a business.”
