Park Resorts aims for the top with new fully responsive website

A fully responsive website has been created by Park Resorts to improve the user experience when browsing on mobile and tablet devices.

The aim is to position the UK holiday parks operator as one of the 15 top 50 travel companies to have a fully responsive website.

An additional nine South Lakeland parks have been added to its portfolio of resorts, six of which are open for accommodation bookings and three of which are exclusively for private caravan owners.

Head of digital Martin Abrams, said: “The challenge represented by the continuing growth of mobile and tablet traffic meant that creating a fully responsive website was of paramount importance for our users.

“The UK holiday park sector is behind the travel sector as a whole when it comes to the mobile user experience and is currently falling short of user expectation.”

The responsive website represents a “huge opportunity to use location based services and to join up the user journey across multiple devices in the future to further improve the experience of our user base,” he added.

“Furthermore, improvements to the design and user experience allow visitors to search and book a caravan or lodge holiday, whilst at the same time being just a click away from searching for a holiday home to purchase on one of our 48 holiday parks.”
