The re-launched Mail Travel website has seen visitor numbers more than double.

Latest year-on-year figures show a 135% increase in people visiting mailtravel.co.uk according to Mail Newspapers.

The site was previously receiving almost 200,000 unique visitors a month.

Key improvements made in September increased onsite conversion by 69% while the revenue generated per visitor has increased by 86%, the media group said.

Under the slogan ‘The first place to visit’, the site claims to offer users a one-stop shop for the inspiration, research and purchase phases of the holiday-booking process.

Roland Agambar, chief marketing officer at dmg media, said: “We are delighted to see that the re-launch of mailtravel.co.uk has already built on the exceptional success of the previous website and to see such a significant improvement across the key performance metrics so soon after launch is very promising.

“We are now looking forward to working with new travel partners in order to offer even more choice to Mail customers.”
