Amadeus is making a play for flight consolidators in the UK, with a new web-based sales and booking management tool.

The e-Power Consolidator is designed to automate and streamline the process for both consolidators and agents.

Maria Whiteman, UK and Ireland commercial director of Amadeus, said: “Flight sales is an extremely competitive arena and smaller travel agents rely on working with the best consolidators to deliver the right product at the right price for their customers.

“Amadeus e-Power Consolidator ticks the boxes for all parties: it enables sub agents to hold bookings where permitted and no local software installation is required. It also offers better security and it can be configured for auto ticketing, which further reduces the consolidator’s cost of sale.”

Mehra Dalton, managing director of Greaves Travel, said: “Over the past 35 years, we have established an excellent reputation with our travel agency sales network.

“Amadeus e-Power Consolidator will further improve relationships by optimising the booking technology and opening new opportunities with even more sub agents thanks to its ease of use and simple set-up.

“Unlike more traditional, cryptic reservation systems, e-Power Consolidator requires no training. It also enables the consolidator to expertly manage agreements with individual travel agency partners – simplifying the implementation and management of sales partners.

She added: “We are combining this new solution with the proven shopping capabilities of Amadeus Master Pricer Calendar for the best results. We have also appreciated the partnership approach that Amadeus has demonstrated during a tight implementation timeline that went entirely according to plan.

“In the space of just a few weeks, e-Power Consolidator has become the new normal among our staff.”
