Blacklane, the provider of professional drivers at low rates around the world, has integrated with China’s travel website Qunar.com.

The partnership will allow Chinese travellers to hire professionally driven vehicles in more than 50 countries.

Qunar.com displays flat rates of transfers between airports and travellers’ homes and hotels that include fees, gratuities and tolls in Chinese yuan.

The Blacklane-Qunar deal starts with 30 cities in Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, including Bangkok, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Paris, New York, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto.

The companies will integrate all of Berlin-based Blacklane’s 150 cities to meet the demands of Chinese travelers.

Qunar head of international car service, Quan Gan, said: “Our customers want a single site to meet all of their travel needs from the moment they leave their homes until they return. Once in transit, they desire the familiarity and consistency of a high-quality experience.

“Blacklane’s low rates, global reach, and convenience help us to build on our innovative edge for Chinese travelers around the world.”

Blacklane co-founder and chief executive Jens Wohltorf said: “International travellers value a reliable, consistent travel experience that removes barriers like currency exchange and uncertainty of local taxi experiences.

“It’s a perfect match to bring the largest Chinese travel site together with the global provider of professional drivers at the lowest rates.”
