WAYN announces tour offering in tie-up with Viator

Travel experiences provided by Viator are to be integrated into the WAYN.com platform as part of a new deal.

This is the second major strategic partnership announced by the travel and lifestyle social network in less than two months following a deal with Booking.com.

WAYN users will be able to browse, share and book their activities prior or during their travels as a result of the arrangement with travel experience resource Viator.

Steve Goldberg, WAYN vice president for North America, said: “WAYN recently beta-launched a social recommendation engine, which already collects over 25,000 travel opinions daily.

“This allows the company to offer very contextualized travel offers based on what users are looking for. Tours is certainly a key component of that offering.

“This is an ideal partnership – we help our members decide where to go to next. Viator completes that process by helping them to decide and book the things to do when they get there.”

WAYN.com claims 23 million registered users and more than 120 million visits a year, with growth of up to 5,000 new registered users every day.

Ken Frohling, business development vice president of Viator, said: “WAYN.com works to help individuals connect with a community of like-mind travelers worldwide to realize their travel dreams.

“We’re excited to be providing their global network of members with direct access to our global selection of tours, attractions and insider experiences.”
