Eysys appoints Sheil as chief executive as Powell moves to chairman

E-commerce personalised marketing platform Eysys has announced the appointment of Humphrey Sheil as chief executive.

E-commerce personalised marketing platform Eysys has announced the appointment of Humphrey Sheil as chief executive.


The current chief technical officer has taken on the role from Simon Powell, the Eysys co-founder who has become the firm’s full time chairman.


Humphrey a co-founder of Eysys, previously held senior technical roles in Thomas Cook, Comtec, Advanced Business Solutions and Sapient, in the US and the UK.


He is also a PhD candidate in Machine Learning at the School of Computer Science, Cardiff University.


Powell said: “I’m delighted to see Humphrey take Eysys forward into our next phase of growth.


“Humphrey has formed an excellent team and our current version of Holistic is our best yet, delivering measurable results to our customer base.


“We have grown from two to 20 people in just two years and we fully expect our next iteration to continue this trend based on the market dynamics we are seeing.”


Sheil said: “I look forward to continuing the excellent work done by Simon. Our e-commerce personalisation technology is powering more customers every month and we’re set for further growth in the UK and internationally, building from our current base.


“In the coming weeks and months we will be showcasing how customers implementing our Personalise module have increased conversion by over 50%, in less than two months once Personalise has learned and adapted to their data”.
