Travel 2 is claiming a 199% hike increase in online bookings year-on-year, since new functionality was launched to its website earlier this month.
The operator’s site provides users with more choice, a simplified booking path and greater flexibility, following agent feedback.
Updates include a new dynamic shopping basket function which provides agents with a booking tool that speeds up the process of searching for availability and prices. The tool also allows agents to quickly re-price a previously quoted package.
The site at travel2.com offers agents the ability to book up to four flight sectors per booking, plus the opportunity to mix cabins.
Ongoing improvements include increased ground content in key destinations such as the US, Asia, Middle East and Australia.

“Current stats show a year-on-year increase in revenue of 94% for air-only online bookings and 206% for online holiday packages with the Middle East, Indian Ocean and Caribbean delivering triple digit growth.
