Ryanair’s GDS distribution deal with Amadeus has gone live as the carrier expands a series of service improvements.

Amadeus-affiliated travel agents across Europe will have access to the airline’s fares and Business Plus service as the low-cost carrier seeks to attract more business travellers.

Chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, said: “Our new partnership with Amadeus is a significant development for Ryanair and for businesses and customers across Europe as we continue to improve our business and customer offering.

“With more than 27% of our customers already travelling on business, we are continuing to improve Europe’s best business service, with the lowest fares, most on-time flights and our tailored Business Plus service.

“For business travellers, corporations and TMCs, this agreement will mean greater access to our low fares and Europe’s largest route network.”

Amadeus’s distribution senior vice-president, Holger Taubmann, added: “Ryanair operates Europe’s largest route networks and from today Amadeus subscribers across Europe can book a wide range of the airline’s fares.

“Our light ticketing technology ensures the booking process is seamless and just the same as booking any full service airline through Amadeus.” ?
