An aircraft charter specialist has developed an app offering detailed information on 200 different types of aircraft.

The Air Charter Services app is free and available on Android and Apple devices including smartphones and tablets.

It features a range of commercial aircraft currently in service, including: helicopters, piston aircraft, turboprops, private jets, commercial airliners and cargo aircraft.

Justin Bowman, chief executive of Air Charter Service, said: “We have been developing this app for a long time and are very happy to be able to announce its launch.

“It has taken our years of experience to be able to collate all the information contained within it.”

The app supplies photos and detailed layouts of the interior of each aircraft, including seating plans and cargo hold dimensions. It also allows people to request a charter on any of the aircraft with one click.

The app is the second in the company’s portfolio, following on from their ‘Jet Prices’ application that was launched early last year.

Bowman added: “We are hoping that anyone looking to charter an aircraft will find this a useful tool whilst on the move.

“Being aviation enthusiasts ourselves, we’ve also made it available to the wider aviation community and we hope that they find it as interesting to browse as we have putting it together.”
