Stross also spent several years working for TNT Magazine, where he started as a marketing executive in 1998 and left as managing director 11 years later having spent time managing the Sydney office.

He said: “Since launching, WeSwap has propelled itself into the travel spotlight, and I look forward to coming on board and working with the team to expand on what’s been done so far.

“I’ve been increasingly focused on developing online strategies and partnerships with online travel businesses in the past few years, and this is something I’m keen to explore further with WeSwap as the business enters its second year of trading.”

Company co-founder Jared Jesner said: “A key element of the business’s growth strategy over the coming year focuses on leveraging travel industry partnerships, and Rob’s expertise in this area will add huge value to WeSwap during the next phase of expansion.”

Stross will join WeSwap in October.
