ITC Luxury Travel plans to overhaul its technology platform by introducing a new booking system and online agent booking portal.


The moves follows a recent MBO at the operator with CEO Jennifer Atkinson announcing plans to invest in people and systems to create organic growth together with the targeted acquisition of travel businesses within the luxury and other specialist sectors.


The Dolphin Dynamics technology replaces ITC’s existing reservation system and will be used initially by almost 100 staff within its UK headquarters and Harrogate office and in subsequent phases across other ITC brands.


The end-to-end Dolphin solution includes a selling and administration tool to support fulfilment, reporting and travel accounting automation, along with a contract management module to enable ITC to maintain directly contracted products and allocations.


Dolphin will also be deployed to power an online trade booking portal enabling agents to search and book all ITC offerings.


The introduction of the platform is due to start in November and will include a small number of bespoke developments to tailor the system to ITC’s specific requirements.


ITC finance director Karl Lloyd said: “Investment in the right travel technology is a key part of our plans to grow the business whilst continuing to offer the highest levels of service to the trade.
