Industry veteran Wheeler joins board of Vayant

Vayant Travel Technologies has announced the appointment of travel industry veteran Ian Wheeler as a board member.

Vayant Travel Technologies has announced the appointment of travel industry veteran Ian Wheeler as a board member.

Wheeler will help devise the company’s strategic direction and the next phase of growth.

He has spent 25 years in the travel industry, fulfilling business and strategic leadership roles for key players in sectors including distribution, travel technology, travel agencies and providers.

He is active in non-executive and advisory work across the travel and technology sector and has previously worked for Amadeus across a number of senior roles including as group vice president of marketing and distribution, managing director e-travel and chairman of Traveltainment. He has also worked for Hertz, Reed Elsevier and Thomas Cook.
