Superbreak launches rail and flight package system for agents

Superbreak has introduced a new booking system on its website for agents booking rail trips.

The short-break operator claims to be the first offering flexible flight, Eurostar and UK rail packages in one system. A guide is being distributed to agents.

The system offers guaranteed seats at no extra cost, best-fare options and confirmed train times and routes at the time of booking.

It packages hotel and rail options together as part of the main online booking process for the first time.

National sales manager Graham Balmforth said the new system made it clearer and more convenient to book rail packages.

“Agents can find the cheapest routes for customers, show them how prices change depending on when they travel during the day and then confirm their seats and times, so everything is booked,” he added.

Agents using the system’s new search options must select the ‘hotel plus rail’ option, a date, departure station and approximate departure and return train times.

The operator then recommends packages with the cheapest rail fares and hotels based on value for money.

A grid will show best-value fares for departure and return times, based on a customer’s choice. Prices quoted are per person ?and include the return fare and hotel stay.

London breaks start at £159, including two nights at the three-star Royal National hotel and return train tickets from Edinburgh.
