The GDS provider’s core flight content and search technology will support Tui’s digital transformation strategy.

The aim is to enhance the experience for consumers in the planning and booking phases and also on holiday.

Tui Travel group purchasing director Jim Mann said: “We are all about improving the holiday experience for our customers. Nowadays, that means offering services as personalised and differentiated as possible as well as creating packages which include services that will help to make our customers’ trip unique.

“We believe that by committing to Amadeus as our partner we are closer to achieving these goals,”

Amadeus global customer group vice president Albert Pozo added: “We are delighted to work together with Tui Travel to help deliver on their strategy and shape the future of leisure travel.

“Our innovative search technology and commitment to providing ancillary services, among other initiatives, will empower Tui Travel to answer the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s sophisticated leisure travellers.”
