Ryanair is to recruit 200 new digital and IT staff as part of plans to develop a “world class” online travel platform.

The budget carrier is creating Ryanair Labs, described as a state-of-the-art digital and IT innovation hub based at its Dublin office campus.

Among the positions it is seeking to fill by December is the role of chief technology officer, as well as a head of digital marketing.

Others are in the areas of software development, design and online media.

A spokesman said: “We’re seeking to hire the best of the best to reimagine the online travel sector.

“Strategy, architecture, design and content will all be done in Dublin and the work will be used by millions of people.

“We’re proud to pay well to make sure we get and keep the best people and Ryanair Labs will offer the perks and culture of a start-up without the downsides.”
