Mobile technology provider iBahn has signed a raft of deals with 500 corporations to allow employers to connect directly to workplace networks in over 2,000 hotels around the world.

The integration of Virtual Private Networks for each company allows visitors to hotels to connect directly through the existing broadband network of a property, rather than through an existing second layer such as personal hotkeys.

The system also automatically creates VPN certificates for employees as soon as they enter the wireless space of a hotel or conference centre.

Roger Binks, director of marketing communications for UK South & Ireland at Marriott International, said: “At Marriott we do all we can to ensure that our guests have a great experience when they stay with us or visit us for a conference, so the iBahn VPN certification scheme is another way we can ensure that things will run smoothly.

“Our business guests demand a secure and easy connection to their corporate network, and iBahn helps make sure it’ll work for them each time they connect.”
