Travelpod has become the latest travel brand to jump on the phenomenal growth of Facebook, allowing members to share their blogs and content across the network.

A plug-in has been created by the TripAdvisor-owned Travelpod to let its members to feed material into their own Facebook homepage.

The tool is one of the first plug-in applications built for the Facebook network since the social networking opened its API to developers last week.

US travel search engine Sidestep built a similar Facebook application for members to keep track of their previous and planned trips.

Travelpod founder Luc Lévesque said: “Travellers want to not only share their adventures while they’re on the road via email and RSS but they also want to tie together their digital identities on various websites.

“Members can already link their Travel Blogs with their personal websites, blogs and social profiles like MySpace, our new Facebook integration now let’s them link their Facebook profiles to their travels as well.”
