Digital content marketing agency, Melt Content, has secured unspecified “substantial” investment to meet increasing demand for its strategic online services.

David Jackson, described as a ‘serial entrepreneur’ has invested in the business and joins the board as chairman.

The funding will be used to build the management team and expand the content and search departments. Melt will also accelerate its creative development platform offering.

Jackson said: “In its relatively short life, Melt has carved a niche with search-led content campaigns that are aiding many digital strategies, particularly those from the travel vertical.

“My confidence in the business stems from the founders’ strong client-side travel and digital experience and it is clear their high-profile clients share my sentiment.”

Dan Hart, the managing director who co-founded the business with industry veteran Ian Brooks, said: “David’s investment and strong commercial experience will be a great boost to the business and will undoubtedly help us achieve our expansion goals and business objectives.

“The changing nature of search marketing means all online businesses have had to rethink their digital strategy.

“There’s a real need for solutions that make a clear, commercial difference and that’s what we deliver. The fact that many of our customers are now buying more services from us is a real sign of their confidence in how our expertise can benefit their businesses.”
