Organisers of this week’s Travel Technology Show are celebrating another successful exhibition by announcing the 2007 event will be moved to the bigger venue of Earl’s Court.

The two-day event at Olympia this week saw a significant increase in the number of visitors and exhibitors, prompting the organisers to switch the event next year to the Earl’s Court 2 venue.

It will continue to sit alongside the Business Travel Show, which will be hosted simultaneously.

The organisers said early indications had showed an increase of 10% in visitor numbers on the 2005 event.

Event director Neil Simpson said: “The Travel Technology Show has become Europe’s principal business exhibition for technology suppliers to meet and do business with buyers from the travel industry.

“Each year it continues to evolve and to grow, and the planned move to Earls Court 2 in 2007 represents our commitment to the sector and the continual development of the show to meet the demands of the industry.”

Kevin May, editor of Travolution, one of the official media partners for the event, added: “We were delighted to be involved with this year’s event – our first major outing in the UK for 2006 as the recently launched media brand for the online travel world.

“We consider the Travel Technology Show the ideal opportunity for our readers to mix with their contacts, potential clients and, perhaps more importantly, learn more about this fast growing industry we all belong to.”
