Commission Junction unveils new travel clients

Affiliate marketing specialist Commission Junction has signed deals with a string of travel brands – including Octopus Travel and FlyThomasCook – to provide programmes across its network.

The ValueClick-owned brand will also work with, HotelClub, Hotelopia, PurpleParking and West Star Holidays following its shift in strategy to target more travel, retail and finance brands.

The affiliate group currently handles marketing for over 60 UK travel brands and has secured contracts with three of the top five travel websites and a number of leading airlines.

Alison Guise, UK country manager for Commission Junction and Mediaplex, said: “Commission Junction’s extensive and results driven experience with travel advertisers and affiliates has meant we have been able to demonstrate to these brands what is possible within affiliate marketing.”

The travel sector has become a major focus for affiliate groups in recent years as travel providers look to shift away from the pure pay-per-click advertising model on search engines to cost-per-acquisition schemes run on affiliate websites.
