Hotel and travel portal design company Open World has been put up for sale and has appointed a team of administrators to listen to offers for the company.

The company, which has worked on a string of high profile sites including Hilton, Hyatt, Dorchester and HEDNA, will be also represented by Edward Symmons in the marketing and sale of the business.

It is unknown how much the company would be worth in a sale.

Steve Mason, partner at Edward Symmons, said: “We are expecting a lot of interest in the sale of Open World due to the company’s established position in the international market and their high profile client list.”

Open World has also worked on a number of travel portals including Viator.com, Footprint travel guides and Travelocity-owned Worldchoicetravel.com.
