Marriott to reward members with free Wi-Fi access

The 47 million members of the Marriott Rewards loyalty scheme are to gain free Wi-Fi access.

The hotel giant plans to make the offer available from January 15 across more than 3,800 properties in the company’s extensive lodging portfolio worldwide.

It will be available to loyalty scheme members who book directly on Marriott.com, Marriott’s mobile app, 1-800-MARRIOTT, or through a Marriott hotel.

Marriott Rewards Platinum and Gold Elite members will continue to be offered free enhanced Wi-Fi, where available.

Executive vice-president and chief marketing and commercial officer, Stephanie Linnartz, said: “Marriott Rewards members asked for free Wi-Fi, and we answered. Free Wi-Fi is a meaningful way to reward our most loyal customers and continue to attract next-gen travellers.”
