Disneyland Paris soars to top search term for UK travellers
Disneyland Paris and flights to Tenerife are leading the highest travel-related search terms currently used by UK consumers, ahead of this year’s busy getaway Easter break.
Hitwise figures for the ending 17th March also revealed half of the top 20 search terms for overseas destinations are for queries regarding flights. [Table below]
But despite this year’s long UK Easter weekend running just a week ahead in the calendar of the same four-day holiday in 2006, Disneyland Paris has jumped a massive 45% on its position last year.
Meanwhile search terms for UK destinations were led by Alton Towers, Butlins, Thorpe Park, Centre Parcs [sic] and Legoland.
The figures for the same period indicated that five of the top 20 search terms included a grammatical variation for the CenterParcs brand.
